New Delhi:
Dancers from different dance styles ranging from traditional to contemporary will take the stage at a grand show in New Delhi to celebrate World Dance Day.
The extravaganza titled "No Boundaries" is being organized by Sadhya, a unit of performing arts in association with Big Dance Centre and Friends of Art through a crowd funding project that attempts to reach a target of Rs 3 lakh.
The programme tomorrow proposes to bring together over 100 artists in a unique manner to create a visual treat of different dance styles.
"The event was initiated by me four years ago and we have been celebrating it ever since," says Santosh Nair, Artistic Director, Sadhya.
Different companies and dancing gurus including Guru Saroja Vaidyanatha and group, Guru Ranjana Gauhar and group,
Kalashram, The Danceworx, Big Dance Centre, Urshilla Dance Company, Aayam Dance Company and Banjara School of Dance are listed to participate.
Organisers say the attempt is to bring upcoming artists and established gurus together in one place.
"Earlier it was held in association with various cultural organisations like Sangeet Natak Academy, ICCR and NSD. Through this event we aim to foster mutual respect, appreciation and a positive outlook towards this wonderful profession and art," Mr Nair said.
