Cut offs 'Unrealistically' High, But Seats Aplenty: Delhi University

Cut offs 'Unrealistically' High, But Seats Aplenty: Delhi University
New Delhi:

The Delhi University today accepted that in order to avoid "over-admissions" its first cut-off list is "unrealistically". It, however, maintained that there was no need for students to panic as there are a plenty of seats to accommodate them and further lists will be more realistic.

"As the number of students taking admission is set to become clear after the admissions to the first cut off list tomorrow, the aspirants will get to know that there are plenty of seats to accommodate them and the further cut off lists will be more 'realistic'," a senior varsity official said.

The first cut-off list for Delhi University's Under-Graduate(UG) courses has "sky-rocketed" yet again with two colleges this time setting the threshold at 100 per cent for admission to the B.Sc (Computer Science) course.

The steep cut-offs has left the students dismayed. The soaring of the eligibility bar, beyond the perfect 100 per cent mark has been termed "absurd" and "unbelievable" by the aspirants.
