New Delhi:
A 17-year-old boy was brutally stabbed to death allegedly by three local men in southeast Delhi's Badarpur area, police said today.
Lalit Kumar, a class XI student of a government school, had gone out to buy something last night when the three men forcibly took him to a nearby secluded place where they stabbed him multiple times and fled from the spot after leaving him in a pool of blood, a police official said.
"A passerby saw the victim and informed the police. He was rushed to AIIMS where he was declared brought dead by the doctors," he added.
Om Prakash, father of the boy, alleged that one Johnny, who lived nearby, was one of the men behind the crime and claimed that police had not arrested him despite his statement against him.
"It's Johnny who killed my son along with his friends.
Last year, his friend Gautam had attacked my son," he alleged.
A local resident told investigators that his son saw Johnny and two other men stabbing Lalit and added that when he tried to save him the accused ran after him with a knife.
Police have registered a case of murder at the Badarpur police station and launched a manhunt to nab the absconding accused.
