New Delhi: The Delhi cabinet on Monday cleared the Jan Lokpal Bill, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said.
The government said it will pass the bill at a special assembly session at the Indira Gandhi stadium in New Delhi.
Mr Kejriwal congratulated the people of Delhi.
"Congratulations. Delhi Jan Lokpal Bill passed by Delhi Cabinet," he wrote on Twitter.
Mr Kejriwal had earlier announced that the bill would be passed at the Ramlila Maidan - a sprawling ground in the heart of the city.
The bill was placed before the cabinet on January 31.
