New Delhi:
A Delhi court has ordered Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit to appear before the judge on November 9 in a defamation case she has filed against BJP leader Vijender Gupta.
"Considering the fact complainant has not appeared since recording of her statement against Gupta, therefore she is directed to appear positively otherwise the complaint would be dismissed," said Metropolitan Magistrate Navneet Budhiraja.
Both politicians have told the court that they have not been able to reach an out-of-court settlement.
The Chief Minister sued Mr Gupta for allegedly using "uncivilised" language in interviews prior to last month's civic polls.
His lawyer later argued that the remarks were not against an individual but the entire government.
