Not everyone who loses their belongings on Delhi Metro is as lucky as a commuter, who was given back his bag containing Rs one lakh by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan after he forgot it while travelling on the city's lifeline.
The incident occurred late evening on Sunday at the Chawri bazar Metro station when constable Sudhir Kumar found an unattended bag at the X-ray screening machine.
The alert CISF constable immediately informed his superiors about the unclaimed bag and after security checks, it was deposited with the station controller as it contained
Rs one lakh in cash, a senior official of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) said.
The commuter later returned to the station and after proper verification, the bag was given back to him, the official said. The CISF guards the Metro network.
