New Delhi: A court in Delhi on Tuesday dismissed the bail plea of Delhi's former law minister Jitender Singh Tomar, who is accused in a fake degree case.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tarun Yogesh dismissed the bail application of the Aam Aadmi Party legislator.
Delhi Police, opposing the bail plea, said that the investigation in the case is on and there are chances that the accused may tamper with evidence if released.
Mr Tomar was arrested on June 9, and charged with forgery, cheating and criminal conspiracy. He is in judicial custody till July 20.
He had sought bail on the ground that as the probe in the matter was over, he could not be kept in jail.
