New Delhi: A doctor was shot dead at his Rajinder Nagar home in central Delhi this morning.
43-year-old Sanjeev Dhawan was fatally shot at around 3am. He was taken to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital where he was declared brought dead. Dr Dhawan was working as a cardiologist at the same hospital.
The police say they have arrested suspect Dharmendra Kumar. He reportedly reached Dr Dhawan's residence looking for a domestic help that worked there. The help was to quit her job today. She had complained to Dr Dhawan that Kumar was harrassing her.
Dharmendra, police say, climbed up through the balcony and knocked at the door of the house. When Dr Dhawan opened it, he was shot at five times.
