New Delhi: One person, alleged to be a drug peddler, has been arrested and about 320 grams of heroin, worth about Rs 80 lakh in the international market was recovered from him, police said today.
The man, identified as Raj Kumar and a resident of Loni area of Ghaziabad, allegedly used to supply the narcotics in different parts of the national capital and areas in the national capital region (NCR).
"Police had on April 25 received a tip-off that a drug peddler would be coming towards Bawana area of Delhi to supply heroine to one Shakila. A trap was laid and he was arrested. Police have recovered 320 gm of heroine, which costs Rs 80 lakhs in the international market," a senior police officer said.
The officer added that he was being interrogated to get the information about the hideouts of his accomplices.
