New Delhi: A fire broke out in a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus outside the Old Delhi railway station on Monday morning, an official said. Fortunately, no one was injured in the mishap.
The incident occurred around 8 am when a few passengers were inside the moving bus.
"As the bus driver detected smoke coming out from the engine, he immediately stopped the bus. He told the passengers to get down and move away to a safe distance," a fire brigade official said.
Fire engines immediately rushed to the spot and doused the blaze in half-an hour.
"Although the bus was gutted, fortunately, no one was injured in the incident," the official added.
