The Delhi Metro will start a feeder bus service from the Shivaji Stadium Metro station from Tuesday, a statement said.
The service will be available from 8 am to 8 pm every day, and it will cover a distance of approximately 13 kilometres.
The bus service will cover Patel Chowk Metro station, Akashwani Bhawan, Krishi Bhawan, Patiala House, Delhi High Court, Pragati Maidan, Supreme Court, ITO, Delhi Gate, New Delhi Metro station, Minto Road and Statesman House.
Initially, this route will be operated on a trial basis with three non-AC buses at a frequency of about 20 minutes, charging Rs 5 similar to non-AC DTC buses for travel up to four kilometres, Rs 10 for travel between 4 to 10 kilometres and Rs 15 for over 10 kilometres.
"The number of buses will be increased depending upon the response of the public on this route," the Delhi Metro statement said.
Currently, the Delhi Aerocity Metro station of the Airport Express Line is also running feeder bus services to facilitate passenger movement from the Aerocity station to Terminal-1 of the domestic airport and vice-versa.
