New Delhi: A thick blanket of fog enveloped the national capital on Monday, affecting train and flight operations. The Met office has forecast a cloudy day ahead.
The visibility dropped below 50 metres, said an official of the Met Department.
However, the minimum temperature was recorded two notches above the season's average at 9 degrees Celsius.
According to the Northern Railway, around 31 trains en-route to Delhi were running late, while four were rescheduled.
"The visibility was extremely poor and driving in fog is difficult," said Akriti Sood, who travels to Gurgaon for work.
Humidity at 8:30 am was 100 per cent.
