Delhi: Four metro stations to remain closed on Tuesday
New Delhi: Four metro stations in the north block area of Delhi will remain closed from Tuesday morning till further notice in the wake of the sit-in protest by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party in the capital.

In a late night direction to DMRC by the Delhi Police on Monday, no services will be available at the four stations - Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Udhyog Bhavan and Race Course - from 6 AM onward till further notice, a DMRC official said.

Also, no interchange will be available at Central Secretariat.

Trains on Line 6 coming from Badarpur to Central Secretariat will terminate at Khan Market metro station and this arrangement will be in place till further directions, the official said on Monday night.

The directions could be highly inconvenient for commuters, especially those travelling to workplaces on Parliament Street, near where the Delhi Chief Minister is sitting on a dharna against the Centre, demanding action against some Delhi Police officers for alleged negligence.

On the directions of the Delhi Police, the four metro stations were closed today from 9 AM onward.

Later, Patel Chowk and Race Course metro stations were opened at 2:14 PM. The entry and exit to the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan Metro stations remain closed as directed by the Delhi Police.
