New Delhi: Gold bars worth over Rs 60 lakh have been seized from the possession of two passengers at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi.
The passengers were intercepted by customs officials on their arrival in Delhi on Tuesday from Abu Dhabi, a press release issued today by the customs said.
"On detailed examination of their baggage, nothing objectionable was found. But on their personal search, 19 gold bars and one gold chain totally weighing 2.32 kgs valued at Rs 61.13 lakh were recovered," it said.
