New Delhi: The Delhi government has set up a five-member committee to investigate the kidney racket busted recently in the city's Indrasprastha Apollo hospital, an official statement said today.
The committee, headed by DK Tempe, dean of Maulana Azad Medical College, will have, as members, Delhi's Special Secretary, Health, Akash Mohapatra, Delhi-based faculty of medicine RS Ahlawath, nephrologist Suman Lata, and Vibhuti Sharma, transplant co-ordinator - both from the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), said the statement.
It had been asked to submit the interim reports regarding the five cases of organ sale detected so far within one week and the detailed report within a fortnight.
