Satyendar Jain said the government will set up fever clinics.

With national capital region recording 39 cases of dengue so far, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain on Tuesday said that his government will set up 300 'Fever clinics' across the national capital to tackle cases of the vector-borne disease.
"We have decided to set up around 300 fever clinics in the city to deal with cases of dengue this year. Tests for dengue will be conducted at these clinics," Mr Jain said.
"These clinics will become operational from September onwards. We are fully prepared for any emergency," he added.
According a senior Health department official, these fever clinics will be set at mohalla clinics, hospital and dispensaries. Government has also appointed nodal officers for these clinics.
Mr Jain further said, like last year, government will fix the rates for platelet and dengue tests in private hospitals so that they are not able to charge more than Rs 50 for platelet and Rs 600 for dengue tests.
According to a municipal report released yesterday, 39 dengue cases have been reported in the national capital.
Mr Jain said out of this 39 cases, 14 patients were from Delhi while 25 were from outside Delhi.
