New Delhi: Delhi Police on Friday arrested five persons including two employees of a prominent multispeciality hospital on charges of running a kidney racket.
Delhi government also issued notice to all hospitals saying exemplary action will be taken against anyone found indulging in organ trade.
State Health Minister Satyendar Jain said police should take strict action against those involved in organ trade in the national capital.
"The Health department of the Delhi government has issued directions to all hospitals, saying exemplary action will be taken against anyone found indulging in such unacceptable criminal activities," a senior government official said.
