Tremors from the earthquake, epiecentred in Haryana, were felt in Delhi.
An earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale hit Delhi and its surrounding areas a little before 3 pm today.
The earthquake was measured at a depth of 16 kms. The more shallow an earthquake is, the bigger its likely destruction.
The epicenter was Chhajiawas in Haryana, about 100 kms from the capital.
There were no reports of casualties or damage to property.
