Delhi hospitals brace up to tackle emergencies on Diwali

New Delhi: Delhi government has directed the state-run hospitals to put in place required arrangements to deal with burn victims during the Diwali celebrations in the city.

Keeping in view the apprehensions of children and adults suffering burn injuries while bursting crackers, the hospitals have been asked to keep a few beds reserved for such cases, besides deploying the specialists.

The health department has also instructed the hospitals to keep stock of the required medicines and other equipment for instant healing and stitching.

The hospitals have been directed to deploy para-medical staff to meet with a large number of cases.

The health secretary has asked the Medical Superintendents of all the hospitals to keep watch on all such cases.
