New Delhi:
A man, who arrived in Delhi from Riyadh, was today arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle into the country about one kg of gold at IGI airport, a Customs official said.
The accused was intercepted by Customs officials after he arrived in the city from the Saudi Arabian capital.
"Eight gold bars weighing 933.12 grams, having value Rs 24.25 lakh, was seized from his possession," the official said.
Following which, the accused was arrested and the yellow metal was seized, he added.
