New Delhi:
Metro services between Jahangirpuri and HUDA City Centre were disrupted today for over an hour due to a problem in the overhead electrification wire.
"Metro Services of Jahangirpuri to HUDA City Centre (Line 2) were affected today between Sultanpur and HUDA City Centre stations when a foreign wire got entangled into a portion of OHE wire near Guru Dronacharya Metro station, going towards Jahangirpuri," said Anuj Dayal, DMRC Executive Director (Corporate Communication).
The train services were mainly affected from 3:40 PM to 4:53 PM between Sultanpur and HUDA City Centre station.
However, the services from Sultanpur to Jahnagirpuri remained normal.
"After undertaking the urgent removal of the foreign wire from the affected OHE portion, the full normalcy was also restored between Sultanpur and HUDA City Centre section at 4:53 PM," Dayal said.
To carry the passengers from one end to another end of affected section, single line operation was also undertaken between Sultanpur and HUDA City Centre stations.
All other lines were unaffected from this incident and train services were running normal.
