New Delhi: Services on Delhi Metro's Violet Line were affected for an hour today due to track maintenance work in the afternoon.
"Due to maintenance of track on the up line (going towards Badarpur) of Mandi House station from 12.30 PM to 1.40 PM, trains services were curtailed," a metro spokesman said.
Since it was not announced a day before, as is the norm, passengers going towards Badarpur from ITO and Mandi House stations mainly faced difficulties.
During the said period, one train ran as a shuttle service between ITO and Mandi House whereas a single line was operational between Mandi House and Central Secretariat.
However, services were normal between Central Secretariat and Badarpur stations.
Meanwhile, a workshop on metro travel was organised for children undergoing cancer treatment by the Metro Museum today.
As part of the workshop, around 30 children were taken on a train ride from AIIMS to Patel Chowk and were given a guided tour of the Metro Museum.
