A 52-year-old woman died after jumping off the fifth floor of an apartment building in Delhi on Tuesday, police said.
According to Delhi Police, Neha Verma, a resident of Nirankari Colony in Mukherjee Nagar, jumped from a terrace just as her husband Dharam Verma was driving into the building. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Neha and her husband lived in the building. The couple has a son and a daughter who live in the US.
The couple were seeking a separation, according to the police, and before jumping, Neha sent an "I love you" message to her husband. The incident was caught on the CCTV camera.
The police are analysing the CCTV footage and the mobile phone of the woman. The postmortem will be done once her son and daughter reach Delhi.
