Delhi: one more arrested in politicians' phone tapping case

New Delhi: One more private detective was arrested in the politicians' and businessmen phone tapping case and for seeking their call data records in the national capital, police said on Monday.

"Arpit Kumar, 28, a private detective in Noida, was arrested on Monday morning," an officer of the Delhi Police Special Cell said.

With the arrest of seven people in the case, Delhi Police claimed to have busted another gang involved in activity similar to the one being investigated in senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley's call detail record (CDRs) access case.

On Saturday, Delhi Police constable Lalit Kumar, businessman Akash Jain and private detective Chandra Sekhar were arrested and sent to two days' police custody.

It was found that these men had sought call records of many senior politicians and also of some businessmen.
