New Delhi: A 32-year-old man, wanted by Delhi Police in connection with over 15 cases of murder and robbery, was killed in a 20-minute shootout between his gang and police in the capital.
The accused - Mohan Chand - was killed last night in Rohini area in north Delhi in a shootout between his associates and the police.
According to police the firing started when the criminals attacked a police team that was chasing them.
A senior police official said as soon as the criminals realised that they were being chase, they fired at police in which one police officer was injured.
Mohan Chand was living in Narela and escaped the police net in Lodhi Road a couple of days back.
Two of his associates managed to escape from the spot during the shootout.
