New Delhi: Shanti, Seva and Nyay - meaning peace, service and justice - are three new words added to the insignia of Delhi Police in addition to "Satyameva Jayate", city police chief Bhim Sain Bassi said on Friday.
The insignia will have "Satyameva Jayate" at the top, while the three new words Shanti, Seva and Nyay have been added to the bottom of the insignia.
Earlier, Satyameva Jayate appeared both at the top and bottom of the insignia.
"No other words can better describe the service of the Delhi Police, who have been working in favour of the people of Delhi," Mr Bassi said in his address at the Delhi Police annual conference.
"We were already in quest of some changes in our insignia. Once we came across these three words, we had no second choice that will better describe Delhi Police," he said.
