Raids were carried out at several liquor bonded warehouses and retail vends across the national capital on the directions of Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung.
The raids were carried out by teams comprising of Delhi, Andaman Nicobar Island Civil Services (DANICS) probationers, assistant commissioners and excise inspectors.
Maintenance of stock register on day-to-day basis, installation of CCTV System and sale and storage of non-duty paid liquor were some of the aspects that were checked.
One of the inspecting teams that gave some information about its report over the phone said inconsistency was observed in scanning of liquor bottles at the l-6 vends of Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation at Ranaji Enclave in Main Najafgarh Road, Excise Commissioner J B Singh said
"Further, some of the bottles which were shown sold, were found in the vend. The team has also made seizure of such bottles," he added.
