Delhi Sizzles At 42 Degree Celsius, MeT Predicts Cloudy Sky Tomorrow

New Delhi: The national capital experienced another hot day today with the mercury rising up to 42 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal.

"The maximum temperature was recorded at 42.2 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal while the minimum settled at 23 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal for this time of the year," an official from weather department said.

The humidity levels oscillated between 54 and 17 per cent. The readings at the Safdarjung observatory for the maximum and minimum temperatures were 40.1 and 23 degrees Celsius respectively, both three notches above normal.

The weatherman has predicted a partly cloudy sky for tomorrow morning but has ruled out any possibility of rain.

Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures settled at 41 degrees and 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
