An 18-year-old college student in Delhi has alleged he was sexually assaulted by a young man he became friends with on Facebook, police said.
The Delhi University first-year student alleges his friend and two boys assaulted him in a car in Narela yesterday and filmed it on mobile phone.
This was their first meeting since meeting up on Facebook, the student says.
The student told the police the suspects later drove him to his home, where they demanded money. Since he didn't have any, he stole his sister-in-law's ear rings and gave it to them.
Police say the suspect may have created a fake profile on Facebook. A case has been registered for sexual assault, theft and under the Information Technology Act.
