It was a sunny Sunday morning in Delhi with the minimum temperature recorded four notches above the season's average at 30.5 degrees Celsius. The Met Office has forecast a partly cloudy day ahead.
"The sky will be partly cloudy and some parts of the city may experience dust storms but there is no forecast for rainfall," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
However, the Met Office has forecast that the city may receive rainfall by Monday.
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 41 degrees Celsius.
The humidity at 8.30 am was 71 per cent.
Saturday's maximum temperature was recorded seven notches above the season's average at 42.3 degrees Celsius, making it the hottest July 12 in the last five years while the minimum temperature was 30.1 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
