Delhi: Teenager killed for refusing to give screwdriver

New Delhi: Enraged over being denied a screwdriver at a mobile phone shop, four people stabbed a 17 year old teenager to death and injured his brother, said the police.

The incident took place at Chauhan Bangar in Jafrabad area at around 9 p.m. on Monday.

Bilal and his elder brother Afzal were at their mobile shop when four people entered and asked for a screwdriver.

"Afzal said they did not have one, and soon an argument started. The four people stabbed Bilal to death and left Afzal injured," said a police officer.

Some locals rushed and informed Bilal's uncle about the incident.

"When I entered the shop, he was lying in a pool of blood. The assailants had fled from the spot," he said.

Bilal was rushed to Jag Pravesh Hospital where he was declared brought dead, while Afzal was referred to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital.

Bilal's father Raj Khan was inconsolable.

"What was his fault? He just did not have a screwdriver," he sobbed uncontrollably.
