New Delhi:
An air-conditioned Delhi Transport Corp (DTC) bus with around 50 passengers caught fire in New Delhi on Friday afternoon, officials said. No one was injured.
The incident took place around 1.30 pm near a road junction at Ghazipur when the bus was on its way to Noida.
Seeing smoke from gear box, the driver parked the bus on the roadside and asked the passengers to get off. Two fire tenders took half hour to douse the fire, caused by a short circuit in the engine, police said.
