New Delhi: Two auto-lifters, active in different parts of the national capital, have been arrested in separate cases, police said today.
The accused have been identified as Sandeep Kumar (26) and Surendra Kumar (27), they said, adding that three cars have been recovered from their possession.
With their arrest, police claimed to have solved 10 cases of motor vehicle theft.
"We got information that an auto-lifter was coming towards R K Puram area yesterday. Acting on tip-off, police laid a trap and arrested him," said a police official.
He was identified as Sandeep, he added.
In the second incident, Surendra was arrested from Meerut on a tip-off, the official said.
"We have recovered three stolen cars from both the accused. Police have launched a manhunt to nab their accomplices and further investigation is on," he added.
