New Delhi:
Two traders were tonight shot at by some armed assailants after the duo stopped them from molesting a woman in west Delhi's Tilak Nagar area, police said.
Sachin (55) and Akshay Sharma (22), traders in Vishnu Garden area in Delhi, around 9:45 pm spotted the accused identified as Sahil, Gopi and Neeku allegedly passing lewd comments on a woman and objected to it, they said.
This led to a heated argument between them after which one of the accused opened fire at the victims, police said, adding, the accused managed to flee.
The injured were immediately rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital where their condition is said to be stable, police said.
A case has been registered against the accused, who were identified using CCTV footage of the area.
A manhunt has been launched to nab them and further investigations are on in the matter, they said.
