New Delhi:
The Delhi University declared its fourth cut-off list declared on Thursday, showing admissions closed in courses across the board.
Only a handful of colleges were still open to admitting more students, but even they lowered the cut offs only marginally for the general category students.
However, for students of the OBC category, admissions would still be on as most of the colleges are yet to fill their quotas of the reserved category.
While Science courses were all but closed, in some colleges there was still a chance of getting into the popular B. Com (Hons) and Economics courses.
In Hans Raj college, admission can still be attained in B. Com (Hons) at a minimum of 96 to 98 per cent, while the same is also open in Sri Venkateswara College (95.75 to 96.75 per cent), Ramjas College (95.5 to 97.5 per cent) and Deen Dayal Upadhyay College (93 per cent), among some others.
Ramjas, Venkateswara, Hindu, Miranda House and Delhi College of Arts and Commerce have still kept admissions open in Economics but the drop in cut off as against the last list has been at the most 0.50 per cent.
Colleges also declared on Thursday a second cut-off list for admission to the non-collegiate women's education board, with colleges still taking admissions at a little over 70 per cent marks.
Under the non-collegiate women's education board, students do not need to attend regular classes.
Though Hansraj College closed admission in the general category to B. Com (Hons), 12 other colleges are still admitting students.
Lakshmibai College has declared a cut off of 72 to 74.75 per cent for B. Com (Hons), while Kalindi College has set it at 70 to 72.75 per cent.
Kalindi, Jesus and Mary, Maitrey and Janki Devi colleges are admitting a little over 70 per cent while the lowest percentage at which admission can be secured in B. Com is 68 per cent.
In the BA Programme course, admission is open in 11 colleges at percentages of 68 to 75.75 per cent.
