Delhi University releases eighth cut-off list, two days before classes begin
New Delhi: With two days left for the Delhi University to begin its next academic session, a few colleges have issued the eighth cut-off list on Monday tonight in what may be their last attempt to fill up seats. (See 8th cut-off list)

Hindu College and Kirori Mal College have reopened admission for the Commerce stream. Hindu, which had closed admissions for B Com after the fourth list, issued the same cut-off in the eighth list at 96.26-99.25 per cent.

The cut-off for B Com in KMC has been set at 95.75 - 95.99 per cent. The college had closed admissions after the fifth cut-off, which was at 96 - 96.24. Over 15 colleges, mostly off-campus, are yet to fill their seats for Commerce.

English and Economics are still available in six and 12 colleges respectively.

Almost all the colleges have closed admissions for Science stream. However, Mathematics is still available at Hans Raj and Kirori Mal colleges.

B Tech in Computer Science is still available at Miranda House and Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences.

Much to the delight of future journalists, admission for Journalism and Mass Communication course has been reopened in Kamala Nehru College at a cut-off of 91.5-93.5 per cent.

The fresh cut-off list shows that many colleges still have substantial seats to be filled in the reserved categories.

Admissions for the eighth cut-off will take place from July 23 to 25. Classes for the new academic session will begin from July 24.

This year, Delhi University is also introducing its controversial four-year undergraduate programme.
