New Delhi: With seats still remaining vacant, Delhi University on Wednesday announced it will be releasing three more cut-offs for admission to undergraduate courses with the sixth list being released on Saturday, a month after the varsity started the new academic session.
The sixth cut-off will be announced on August 20 and admissions will be conducted on till August 22. The University has already announced five cut-off lists.
DU had earlier announced it will only announce five cut-off lists and admissions on the vacant seats will be done on merit system. The admissions under the fifth cut-off list got over on July 22.
The admissions on the vacant seats were done by merit system after the fifth cut-off. Registered students had to apply again for vacant seats and a merit list was brought by college.
The admissions under the merit system got over on August 16.
"We are restarting the cut-off system for admissions.
Many students have withdrawn admissions due to which there are vacant seats in different in many colleges. There will be three cut-offs," said a University official.
The seventh cut-off list will come on August 24 and admissions will happen till August 26. The eight cut-off list will be out on August 29 and admissions under this cut-off will be completed on August 30.
