New Delhi: No major incident was reported from the violence-hit northeast Delhi in the last 36 hours, the Home Ministry said.
Home Minister Amit Shah has appealed to citizens to not believe in rumours and fall prey of evil traps of miscreants.
Mr Shah held a review meeting to take stock of prevailing law and order situation in Delhi given the violence that engulfed the North-East district of the national capital.
The meeting was attended by Home secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, CP Delhi Amulya Patnaik, and Special CP, Law and Order SN Shrivastava.
According to the ministry, no major untoward incident has been reported in the last 36 hours in any police station of North-East Delhi.
Prohibitory orders under Section 144 will be relaxed for a total of 10 hours tomorrow given the improvement of the situation.
"So far, 48 FIRs, pertaining to clashes, loss of lives/property, etc., have already been registered and further FIRs would be registered in due course. Police has detained/arrested 514 suspects for questioning so far. Further arrests would be effected in the course of the investigation," Home Ministry said.
Thirty-eight persons have lost their lives in Delhi violence since February 24. Clashes took place between two opposing factions over the newly-amended Citizenship Act.

Delhi Waqf Board to set up relief camps, distribute ration kit
The Delhi Waqf Board will set up relief camps in violence-hit areas of the city and distribute ration kits in the affected areas, a member of the Board Himal Akhtar said.
As directed by Delhi Waqf Board chairman Amanatullah Khan, the relief camps will be set up in northeast Delhi areas that were affected by the violence. Distribution of milk and biscuits for children and ration kits have also started, Mr Akhtar said.

Delhi Police Special Commissioner SN Srivastava visits Chand Bagh
Delhi Police Special Commissioner SN Srivastava on Thursday visited Chand Bagh, one of the worst violence-hit areas, to see the destruction caused by protestors and talk to the area residents.
Talking to Mr Srivastava, the area residents put forth a charter of demands on which he assured of swift action and cooperation.
The residents complained of delay in police action during the violence and also demanded deployment of more police in their area.

CRPF personnel donate blood at GTB Hospital
Nearly three dozen Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel have donated blood at the GTB Hospital in Dehi to supplement its bank in view of the injured in the Delhi violence being admitted to the facility, officials said.
They said a contingent of 50 personnel of the paramilitary were sent to the hospital on Tuesday, of whom 34 donated blood while the rest were asked to remain on standby, news agency PTI reported.
