Delhi Wakes Up to Cold Morning, 56 Trains Delayed

New Delhi: Delhi today woke up to a cold morning with foggy conditions leading to the delay of 56 trains.

The Met Office has forecast a clear day ahead.

"The sky will remain clear in the day and the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 17 degrees Celsius," said an India Meteorological Department official.

The minimum temperature settled at 8.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.

According to the Northern Railway, 56 trains were late, four were rescheduled and three were cancelled.

The visibility at 8.30 am was 600 metres and humidity was 92 per cent.

Saturday's maximum temperature was 16.9 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season's average and the minimum temperature was 10.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
