New Delhi:
Delhi woke up to dense fog today, with visibility dropping down to barely 50 metres at 5:30 am.
The early morning fog has also hit rail and air traffic in the national capital. 66 trains have been delayed while two have been rescheduled.
46 flights have been delayed, six have been cancelled so far.
The skies will remain mainly clear today, according to Meteorological Department officials.
"The day will be clear with the maximum and minimum temperature hovering around 15 and 6 degree Celsius respectively," an official said.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature in Delhi had registered a significant slump while early morning fog disrupted rail traffic with at least 55 north-bound trains getting affected.
The maximum temperature also saw a sharp decrease and settled at 13.1 degrees Celsius, seven notches below normal, against Tuesday's 20.7 degrees Celsius.
