New Delhi: It was chilly day in the national capital today as both maximum and minimum temperatures dropped below normal and is likely to drop further as Meteorological department has predicted light rains tomorrow.
The minimum temperature today fell below seven degrees for the first time since the onset of winter and settled at 6.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below the average temperature at this time of the year.
Meteorological department has forecast light rains after midnight tomorrow which is expected further drop the temperature in the national capital.
The day temperature was recorded at 22.8 degrees Celsius, which was one degree less from the normal.
"Tomorrow, there will be mist and shallow fog in the morning followed by a clear sky. It may turn partly cloudy from afternoon onwards. Light rain or showers could happen in some parts of the city after midnight tomorrow. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 23 and 6 degrees Celsius," said the Meteorological department forecast.
The humidity oscillated between 92 and 25 per cent.
