New Delhi: A 70-year-old woman was killed by a man on whom she accidentally spat, a police official said on Monday.
The incident was reported from a vegetable market in east Delhi's Kalyanpuri area around 9 p.m. on Sunday.
The victim, identified as Munni Devi, was killed by a man identified as Arjun, 30, on whom she had accidentally spat.
"Arjun got enraged and had a heated argument with the elderly woman before slashing her neck with a sharp-edged weapon. He was arrested and booked in a murder case," the officer said.
The victim was a fruit seller, and the accused works in a shop that deals with spare parts of vehicles.
