New Delhi:
Apparently depressed over her marriage not materialising, a 31-year-old tutor allegedly committed suicide at her residence in north-east Delhi, police said today.
Shefali was found hanging from the ceiling fan by her father Ashok, an accountant at the Delhi Development Authority last night.
Police said Sehfali used to pick-up her sister's daughter from her school in Karkardooma every weekend but yesterday when she went she was told that her brother-in-law had already taken her home.
"She came straight from there and committed suicide. Her father, who came in the evening, knocked at the door several times after which he broke open to enter the house," a police official said.
Shefali was found hanging from the ceiling fan as soon as her father entered her room.
She was taken to GTB Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead, police said, adding she was apparently depressed over not getting married.
