New Delhi:
A 35-year-old man, who taught yoga at a school in East Delhi's Vasundhara Enclave area, was arrested today for allegedly molesting three of his minor students, police said.
The Yoga teacher, identified as Pankaj Saxena, was apprehended after the parents of the victims lodged a complaint at New Ashok Nagar police station under section 10 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and section 354 (outraging the modesty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
According to the police, Saxena is a part time employee at the school. On Friday, he allegedly misbehaved with one girl student in the yoga class.
When the girl's parents complained to the school authorities, it came out that he has done the same to a couple of other girls as well.
The three girls told their parents that their teacher tried to touch them inappropriately while teaching them yoga in the class, after which they filed an FIR against him.
Following the complaint, a police team arrested Saxena. He was later produced in the court and sent to judicial custody.
