Dense fog disrupts rail traffic; 27 Delhi-bound trains delayed

Dense fog in the northern region disrupted rail traffic today with 27 Delhi-bound trains running late by several hours and 39 cancelled.

Railways have also partially cancelled 14 trains owing to foggy conditions prevailing in the region.

While Seemachal Express is running late by 21 hours, North-East Express and Mahananda Express are behind schedule for 19 and 18 hours respectively.

"The situation will continue till weather condition improves," said a senior Northern Railway official.
