New Delhi:
Allegedly depressed because of her poor show in a board exam, a class 12 student committed suicide in New Delhi on Friday, police said.
The 19-year-old who was residing in east Delhi's Usmanpur area had not performed well in her accounts exam held on Friday and feared that she might fail.
According to police, the girl returned home in the afternoon after the exam and told her parents that she was afraid of failing in it.
"Her family has told us that she went to her room afterwards... They later found her hanging from the ceiling fan," said a police official.
No suicide note was found at the spot, added the official.
