Doctor chooses poison over fees

Delhi: Depressed over taking fees from his patient, a 27-year-old doctor allegedly committed suicide by injecting poison into himself. The incident was reported from Paschim Vihar area of West Delhi on Sunday.

A senior police official said that deceased Kasib Ali used to work at Daya Hospital. "At around 9 am, we received a call from the owner of Daya Hospital, who informed us about the incident.

Police reached the spot and rushed him to a government hospital where he died," said the official. Police recovered a suicide note from the hospital which read:

"I regret my occupation where I have to charge fees from my patients. I want to serve people but don't want to charge them a single penny. Strange occupation is this. I can't live like this."
