New Delhi:
A murdered elderly property consultant's domestic help and his four fellow-countrymen were on Sunday arrested here, police said.
Harish Bahadur, 19, domestic help of Vijay Sarin, 72, was arrested along with his four accomplices from Rohini in north Delhi, police said.
The other four accused were Navraj, 19, Ranga Khadka, 22, Badam Bahadur, 28, and Kamal Bahadur, 23, police said.
Sarin was on Saturday found dead in his ransacked rented house in Lajpat Nagar in south Delhi, police said.
Additional Commissioner of Police Mr. Ajay Chaudhary said: "We have recovered from the accused two expensive wrist watches, gold jewellery and the mobile phone that belonged to Sarin."
Mr. Chaudhary said all the accused worked as domestic helps, watchmen and car cleaners in Delhi and Ghaziabad.
"Harish was working at Sarin's house for the past three months. He along and his four associates hatched the plan to kill Sarin while he was sleeping," said a police officer.
Police said Sarin, a widower, lived alone in the house and his married daughter is based in Dwarka area of west Delhi.
Sarin had not got his domestic help verified and not registered himself with the police senior citizens' cell, Chaudhary said.
