New Delhi: A 45-year-old cab driver received burn injuries after his vehicle caught fire, police said on Thursday. According to sources, CNG gas leak caused the fire.
"Satpal who was injured... has been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital with 80 percent burn injuries," a police official said.
The accident happened on Wednesday near Press Enclave near Malviya Nagar area in south Delhi. An Omni Maruti taxi caught fire due to CNG (compressed natural gas) leakage from its cylinder, said the police official.
An eyewitness informed the police and the fire department.
A fire tender rushed to the spot and doused the fire within half an hour.
