New Delhi: The Delhi Government today launched a special bus service for the students studying in different colleges of Delhi University's South Campus. The bus service was flagged off by Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai in New Delhi.
"The DTC has started a "University Special" bus service between Hauz Khas metro station and South Campus. Two trips from each side have been provided," a senior Delhi government official said.
"The decision was taken after a delegation of DU students had met the Transport minister 10 days ago raising the demand. Low floor CNG buses operated by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) have been provided for rendering the U-special trips," he added.
